Rafal 17, arrived on September 9, 2011 for his annual checkup / treatment. He was born with a mild strain of spina bifida. He underwent surgery – thru the Gift from the Heart Foundation 5 years ago – since then he is coming to Chicago for annual checkups while staying at the Foundation’s House.
Today Rafal and his mom are going back home to Poland. At the airport, Kinga – a member of the Polish Airlines (PLL LOT) crew – did the check-in; we all greatly appreciate the special care that our children experience from all the LOT’s staff.
